Dr. Nagpal, Dr. Lobene, and Dr. Sheffler have received a $400k research grant from the USDA-regulated Almond Board of California. The study emphasizes healthy snacking habits in school-age children and aims to investigate how incorporation of organic almond butter by replacing processed spreads modulate the gut microbiome and the features of gut and metabolic health in these children.
