Dr. Nagpal have been awarded the Betty M. Watts Endowed Professorship
Words cannot express how deeply grateful, honored and humbled I’m feeling to have been awarded the esteemed Betty M. Watts Endowed Professorship by our wonderful FSU Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. This is an absolutely incredible honor, and I’m truly grateful to all my wonderful academic leaders, mentors, peers, colleagues, family, friends, and my prodigious students, who all have believed in and supported me along the way and have continued to inspire me to grow and strive to be better each day. What makes this recognition particularly meaningful is the wonderful community behind it. At any workplace, there’s nothing more joyful than being appreciated and recognized for our dedication, hardwork and perseverance. At Florida State University, I’m so fortunate to be part of an environment that values science, learning, collaboration, and service while nurturing strength, skill and character. This honor reflects not only my work, but the trust, support, and shared commitment of so many, and I’m even more inspired now to continue this journey with gratitude, purpose, and a renewed dedication to the work that matters most.
